At Eager we are honest about juice. How it tastes (classic flavours only please), how it looks, and its impact on the planet. So when it came to making ads, we wanted to be honest (and a little bit irreverent) too.
We’re not going to pretend that our juice can solve all of your problems - it’s not going to save the world, or make you more popular, or taller, or whatever. It’s just juice. But our convenient juice subscription service can solve the small but significant problem of running out of juice in the family fridge.
But do people even know that they have a juice problem? And do they know that we can bring a simple, almost-no-effort solution?
So, we created the Extra Ordinary Survey. A not-so-serious survey that asked juice drinkers up and down the country questions about juice, life and everything else - so we can find out exactly what makes them, and their families, sip. For real.
You can see some of the results in our latest ad campaign, but here is a round-up of all our most interesting and important findings:
The Results:
In a survey filled with big-hitting questions like ‘Would you rather listen to an ad about juice or a talking dolphin?’, we’ve had some big hitting results (so far):.
We found that on average, our juice drinkers spend 2.89 seconds a day thinking about juice, that 14.7% found running out of it more annoying than things like ‘pigeons’ and ‘trying to get a GP appointment’, and when asked what their favourite flavour was, one person surveyed answered… Pinot Grigio.
When it comes to problems, predictably, ‘running out of juice’ was pretty low on the list, coming in behind big hitters like ‘raising energy bills’ and ‘UK rivers brimming with turd’.
In fact only 13.2% said that ‘running out of juice' was their biggest worry over important issues like ‘Bitcoin’ and, ‘Jamie Oliver on the telly again’.
Moving on to doorsteps. Our delicious classic juice comes conveniently delivered to your doorstep, so we are quite heavily invested in those.
We discovered that this Christmas, 14.2% of people surveyed would rather see ‘that leaflet that tells you when the bins are changing’, on their doorstep than a box of party-perfect Eager juices. Shocking. And that 78% of people would rather find a box of delicious classic juices on their doorstep than their local MP. Maybe not so shocking.
11% even admitted they’d rather find ‘your husband’s best mate, declaring his love for you via A3 sheets of card’, than juice. But maybe that says more about them than us.
We clearly have some work to do here. Eager’s juice subscriptions are perfect for parties as they can be stored out of the fridge, so you get the same delicious juice, but with more space in the fridge to chill your prosecco.
And speaking of the drinks available in your fridge - we found that even though 69.9% of people said they ‘don’t really worry’ about buying juice for their family, 61.9% of the same people said that the drinks in their fridge were ‘Predictable’ and ‘Distinctly Average’. Well…
Solving the problem with juice
OK, OK, running out of juice isn’t the biggest problem you have (unless you run a juice factory, like our founder Ed), but it is a small niggle that our delicious juice delivery boxes can easily solve.
