Easy Warm Winter Drinks (Cocktails and Mocktails!)

Easy Warm Winter Drinks (Cocktails and Mocktails!)

Winter is here, and that means one thing—time to ditch the iced drinks and get something warm in your hands. But before you grab the usual boring cup of tea or coffee, we’ve got a better idea: warm winter drinks made with juice. Yep, you heard that right. Whether you’re in the mood for a cosy mocktail or something a bit stronger, we’ve got you covered.

Here are a few simple recipes to help you survive the cold, one delicious sip at a time.

1. Cranberry Gin Fizz

Kick off cosy season with a punch of flavour. This Cranberry Gin Fizz is a delightful blend of gin, sherry, and EAGER Cranberry Juice Drink, perfect for warming up your spirits!

What you’ll need:

  • 200ml your favourite gin (we used Thunderflower Devon Dry Gin)
  • 200ml sherry
  • 200ml EAGER Cranberry Juice Drink
  • Lemon peel
  • 3 cinnamon sticks (plus one for garnish)
  • 1 apple, cut into wheels
  • 1-2 pieces of star anise
  • A pinch of ground nutmeg
  • 3 tbsp cinnamon syrup (we used ODK Mixers)
  • 6-10 dehydrated orange wheels (for garnish)

Add the lemon peel, cinnamon sticks, apple, star anise, nutmeg, and cinnamon syrup to a pan with the cranberry juice drink.

Heat slowly for around 20 minutes, allowing all the flavours to infuse.

Once this is near boiling, turn the stove down and add the sherry. Cook for another 10 minutes, then add the gin.

Keep on the stove for another 3-5 minutes before serving in a glass, garnishing with the orange wheels and a cinnamon stick.

2. Spiced Cranberry and Orange Mocktail

This one’s perfect for when you need something a little festive. The cranberry and orange combo is basically winter in a cup, with a touch of cinnamon to make it feel even cosier.

What you’ll need:

Pour the cranberry and orange juice into a saucepan and add the cinnamon stick.

Heat on medium until it’s warm but not boiling—because no one likes scalding their tongue.

Sweeten it to taste with honey or sugar, and throw in some fresh cranberries if you're feeling extra.

Serve in your favourite mug, curl up on the sofa, and try to ignore the fact that it’s probably freezing outside.

3. Hot Apple and Ginger Punch

This one’s like a warm hug in a mug. The apple juice gives you that sweet, comforting base, while the ginger adds a little zing. And if you’re feeling fancy (or cold), you can add a shot of dark rum to really warm up.

What you’ll need:

  • 500ml EAGER Apple Juice
  • 25g fresh ginger, sliced (about 1 inch)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Optional: a shot (about 50ml) of dark rum (because why not?)

Heat the apple juice, ginger slices, and cinnamon stick in a saucepan until it’s steaming.

Squeeze in the lemon juice for a bit of freshness and stir.

If you’re going the cocktail route, now’s the time to add your shot of rum.

Pour it into your mug, fish out the ginger slices (unless you like a bit of a surprise), and enjoy that warm, zesty goodness.

4. Warm Pomegranate and Spice Cider

This drink is like a cosy winter hug. It combines the tangy flavour of EAGER Pomegranate Juice Drink with the sweet warmth of EAGER Apple Juice, enhanced by comforting spices that bring a delightful depth to every sip.

What you’ll need:

In a saucepan, combine the apple juice (or cider) and pomegranate juice.

Add the cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Stir well and heat on medium until warm (but don’t boil).

Once heated, pour it into your favourite mug.

Garnish with pomegranate seeds for that extra pop of flavour and colour.

So, there you have it. Four cosy, warming winter drinks to get you through those long, cold nights. Whether you’re in the mood for a mocktail or a cocktail, there’s a juice-based drink for every winter occasion. Grab your favourite mug, put your feet up, and sip your way through the season.
