Long week? Need a drink that sounds fancy but requires *just the right amount* of fuss?
Meet the Pomegranate Sumac Martini — sharp, grown-up, and weirdly easy to make.
All you need is a shaker, some decent vodka, sumac and Eager Pomegranate Juice.
Ingredients:
-
60ml sumac-infused Ketel One vodka (how-to below)
-
40ml velvet falernum liqueur
-
50ml lime juice
-
A pinch of sumac, to garnish
-
Ice
How to infuse the vodka...
(No lab equipment required)
-
Tip 20g of sumac into a large glass or ceramic bowl.
-
Pour in a full 700ml bottle of Ketel One vodka.
-
Cover and let it sit for 2 hours, stirring when you remember.
-
Strain through a mesh sieve.
-
Pour back into the bottle. Job done.
(Pro tip: it keeps well, and makes you look like someone who owns a drinks trolley.)
